Saludos Beloved, I'm Dra. Rocío

I stand at the intersection of ancestral Earth wisdom and medicine to navigate these times while planting seeds for a liberated future.

I'm a Mother, a Seer, a medicine woman in the Q'ero Inca lineage, and Counseling Psychology Ph.D. mentored by Black & Latin@ psychologists, matriarchs, and Indigenous medicine people.

For over 20 years, I've guided people to unlearn the oppressive programming of our modern society so that we can reclaim our wholeness, our wellness, and do our part to birth a better world. 

My work bridges worlds - helping you decolonize your mind to liberate your spirit while honoring both ancient traditions and the unique challenges of our times.

But I have not always been here, I have walked the journey of decolonizing and reclaiming along with you.

My journey has been one of shedding colonial conditioning, returning to the wisdom of my ancestors, and learning to live, mother, and lead from Spirit—not from survival.

In 2016, I experienced my deepest life initiation - the birth of my child, and the death of my old self. 

Prior to my work now, I was a psychology professor and psychologist, until living and working in that toxic environment led to a health collapse. This health collapse meant that I could no longer produce in the way the colonial institution needed - I was fired (and then rehired and then fired and then rehired..it's a long story...).

This being fired was a massive shedding moment for me at the level of psyche, body, and spirit. And now, I am so grateful for it! I'm grateful for my ancestors taking me out of that oppressive environment so that I would be able to step into my sacred purpose and medicine. 

However, had I known how to work with Hummingbird medicine, my journey would have involved less struggle, and more trust in what was being shown to me, less searching for assurance from our physical reality and more ease in trusting what was being spiritually revealed to me.... 

In this collective moment of so much chaos and confusion, Hummingbird is calling us forward.

Hummingbird medicine is here to assist us so that we can call back our spirits, transmute the heaviness, and trust in the magic of the seen to birth new ancient wolds. 

This is the invitation I have for you in this 90 minute recorded LIVE teaching.

I do not teach from theory—I teach from lived experience, from wounds turned to wisdom, and from the medicine that rises when we choose to decolonize and reclaim. 

I teach from Indigenous wisdom and in collaboration with my ancestors and guides as a psychic channel. I offer my teachings rooted in Indigenous Earth wisdom that calls each of us forward as children of our Great Mother Earth.

I am grateful to my Elder and teacher from the Q'ero Inca lineage, Don Alejandro Apaza, who taught me to show up compassionately for all, and who taught me to offer teachings from a place of harmonious frequency so that we can restore balance and harmony to our world.

This is the vow I took as a medicine women and this is why I offer this sacred work to you in Hummingbird Medicine.
